Hi Ladies and Gents,
I have set up Opportunity Management for our client and an interesting question came through -
What happens if a rep identifies an opportunity for $50 000 for a specific customer for a specific month, and withinn the first week of the month, $10 000 is "Won" and a sales order is created etc etc..
That leaves $ 40 000 in the opportunity, which could still realise as sales or maybe not through the rest of the month. Nevertheless, the opportunity still exists for the other $40 000.
But I have now gone and (in order to set $10 000 as "Won" and have my sales pipeline updated) edited the opportunity, made it $10 000, and set it to Won. Do I now have to go create an opportunity once again for the remaining $40 000?
See, this becomes an issue if a customer now orders constantly throughout the month and I have created a single opportunity.
Is there anyone who has worked on something similar to this or have a case study or real/practical example for me to look at?
Many thanks,
Kendal
