We are implementing a custom UI (SAPUI5) on top of IPC 7 (Internet Pricing Configurator). Below is the approach which we are following:
Idea is to create an ERP Quotation (VA21) using IPC to read Variant Product Configuration and use that information to create ERP Quotations directly using Standard BAPIs.
The entire process of creating Quotation would be done from the Custom UI (built on SAPUI5) and SAP ECC and IPC would be used as backend.
The support the above what we would like to know is, are there any standard API support from ABAP/Java available which can help us in achieving the below:
- Help us read all the variant characteristic from IPC for a particular user entered product.
- Help us in identifying the dependent characteristics out of all the available characteristics.
- Help us to check the selected variants(for correctness/conflicts) based on what the user has selected from the amongst the available characteristics.
- Document around on consuming these API would help.
Also we would like to know if there are any Standard Web Services available on IPC 7.0 which can directly help us to get the required information as described above.
